Time Perception is a project that explores the gap
between people's perceived time and clock time
through data visualisation techniques. In the first
part, a set of data visualisation charts located on
the faces of clocks explains to the audience the
differences between the perceived length of a
minute and the minute as measured by a clock in six different everyday activities, as perceived
by ten participants who took part in the data
collection activity. In the second part, a publication
located beneath the clocks presents more in-
depth information about the ten participants' time perception. The project aims to convey the
complexity involved in perceiving time, offering a
perspective that goes beyond the clock, focuses on
the time within our consciousness, and encourages
the audience to observe and capture the details of
their own time perception behaviour.
